FirstLight is Finicky
Why is it that when I generate a Cineform Intermediate via a 3rd party tool like TmpGenc, the reulting Cineform DI cannot be read by Firstlight? If I transcode the CF DI that failed thru HDlink to make a second CF DI, FirstLight will read the second file OK?

Bill... are you running Windows 7/CS4?
I've noticed that with clips that are disagreeable (green flashes), if I run them through HD Link, with no modification (merely outputting a fresh clip), they then behave. I've posted one of the pesky clips to Cineform for autopsy.... waiting for the results. |

Bill,
Use ftp://ftp.cineform.com/pub/incoming via an standard windfow file explorer window, drag a sample file from TmpGenc (that doesn't work in FL) into that window, no ftp client required. Marty, Your spectulation is not related. Different issues. I bet Bill's TmpGenc files work fine in Premiere.
