Neoscene 24p conversion improvement.
I have heard that 24p conversion within Neoscene will be improved.
Can anyone verify if this is the case, and when? |

It is near perfect if your start with 24p in 60i with pulldown, that is what the 24p mode is designed to do -- nothing else has been suggested.

Because for now, it has some heavy ghosting/bluring. |

Neo Scene does excellent telecine removal, which is the extraction of 24p from 60i, and is what the text you quote refers to. Converting into 24p from 30p is not the same thing, nor is it supported by Neo Scene. We were confused by your question. It is not about improving 24p support - the question is whether we'll support conversion into 24p from 30p. Currently we have no plans to do this. As you've experienced, the conversion technically works but it is not intended for this purpose.
You might experiment with After Effects which works for this purpose but is pretty slow. |

Thank you.
I will still use Neoscene to get more manageable files for editing, I was just confused by the 24p option. Now I understand. |

Are any Cineform products suitable for doing the 30p to 24p conversion off of the 5DM2?

30p to 24p is not a simple conversion operation, requires pixel motion prediction, and even that gets it wrong sometimes. Not something for a fast prosumer conversion tool. Convert with Neo Scene to 29.97p, then use AE Timewarp or Twixtor to produce 23.976/24p.
