Digitizing with inferior HDV camera = ???
Hello,
If I digitize footage shoot with HDV camera sony z1u and I use an inferior (cheaper to rent) hdv sony camera to import footage in ProspectHD; will quality be less then if I use the Z1U or same ? Also, is there a list of camera that HDlink doesn't work with ? Thank you. |

If it's HDV, no matter how it was shot, it's already digitized. What you are doing, I think, is just capturing, and for that any Sony HDV deck will do just fine. I believe the deck mechanisms are all the same.

Ya capturing, sorry did a "Frenchism"...
so any deck or camera will do as long as it's HDV a can stream to computer as such. |

We do it all the time with a little Sony A1. Makes for a fairly cheap "deck" for transferring all those captures from other HDV cams.
