Processing power for in notebook capture

I have the possibility of acquire a notebook with a T6400 (2ghz) Core Duo processor, with 3GB RAM... i think to put a Intensity (via magma) for capture HD video into Cineform Filmscan quality from my HV20...
My question is to be enought processing power to encode in realtime? Henry Olonga says that he processor (core duo at 2.4ghz) do the task... but i can't afford a 2.4 notebook...

Sorry for my bad english.
