NeoScene Button Weirdness
I have a dual boot Windows XP system. The following "weirdness" occurs on both systems, so I don't think it's system specific:
Sometimes NeoScene's button actions change their functions, IE. While actively encoding a file, the "Select Files" and "Select Folders" buttons become active and the "Stop" button changes back to "Start". I've not been able to reliably reproduce this, but I think it has something to do with changing the focus on the NeoScene windows. Sometimes I can get it to change the button functions if I do the following: 1) Run NeoScene 2) Tell it to encode one or more files, and click the start button. NeoScene will begin to encode the file and the "Select Files" and "Select Folder" buttons will be grayed out. The "Start" button will change to "Stop". 3) Click on another window and then back on to the NeoScene window, and/or click on another part of the NeoScene window. The buttons will change back to their original state ("Select Files" and "Select Folder" become active again, and the "Stop" button becomes a "Start" button), even though the encoding is incomplete and still running. Sometimes the animated progress bar shows no progress whatsoever, and the filesize indicator does not change. Like I said, I've not been able to reliably replicate this at will. It happens a lot, and always confuses me when it occurs as I tend to think the conversion has completed, when in fact it has not. Anyone else seen this? Julian |
