All of a sudden

my HDlink disappeared as a standalone application today. Nothing , honestly absolutely nothing new added /installed to my editing machine - apart for prospect upgrade and neo player 1'th time installment the other day. Is my personal aura really so bad that I deserve this ;-). SUGGESTIONS please?
( xphome , SP3, and btw: yes from inside premiere everything works ok - - -)

Well that's weird. Sounds like a Twilight Zone thing....

First check in the CineForm --> Prospect HD folder under Program Files. That's where it resides.

Otherwise do an uninstall of PHD and then reinstall

Twilight Zone thing...

this http://www.progresit.com/1.JPG is the content of the catalogue and
this http://www.progresit.com/2.JPG is the official response to pressing ( very quick and hard ;-) ) HDlink

but maybe I should make a ticket to support.

<obiwan> strange , very strange </obiwan>

Never install Neo Player on a PC that has CineForm software, you don't need it, and you could be installing older tools over more current ones. Neo Player is for non-CineForm PC/Macs, and it is not updated as often.

Uninstall PHD and reinstall. It will be the first thing support will ask. If that doesn't work, follow up with support.

very strange, indeed, but even stranger is the fact that it happened to me too with my Neo Scene installation. I thought maybe it was something to do with a system hang during hibernation, but I ran an exhaustive chkdsk and there were no errors, and as far as I can tell, no other files vanished. But hdlink.exe just disappeared. I "fixed" it by installing the trial on a virtual machine and then copying over the missing files. I didn't want to screw up anything with the activation because I've heard it can be a bit of a pain.
