Neo HD Mac Freezes with AVCHD

Hi,

I updated to the new Neo HD for Mac that supports AVCHD. But when opening an MTS file from the SD card, ReMaster just freezes...
My camera is the Panasonic HMC150.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!
John

Please send a short sample file to support that has the problem.

Hi David,

Will send to support, thanks!

I don't have my original MTS file uploaded but I tried ANY MTS file that were from the HMC150 and it freezes ReMaster.

Here's an already uploaded one from DVinfo member.

Did you install the AC-3 decoder from Perian? If that is missing it will freeze ReMaster

Thanks Craig! That solved it!

I disabled Perian because I've read somewhere that it conflicts with AVCHD in some NLE? I can't fully remember the exact details but what I remember what I had to disable it.

Is there any consequences of having it enabled?

Thanks again!

No problems I know of. I have had it enabled with both iMovie and FCP. ReMaster does not look for Perian specifically, just a working AC-3 decoder.

The next version won't hang, it just generates movies with no sound.
