I've had no problems with the fx 1500 + CF. I run the second digital port to HDMI in on a HDTV for full screen monitoring.
I think I read that the latest driver update has disabled the full screen vidio mirroring, but I haven't tried it myself.

Yes, it works fine if you stick with (or roll back to) the earlier driver.
