HD Link and HV20 with Vista
I am using an HV20 to capture to a Vista box with HDLink. For some time now, I often have to start and restart HDlink, for or five times or more, before the capture finally engages. Sometimes it starts the transport but no recording occurs, though the HV20 is showing the footage. Other times, it just freezes up.
As I recall, other HV20 users have reported these intermittent issues. Anybody find a solution ?

Sorry, but with my HV20 I have very few problems. I am on Vista Pro 64bit.
4GB Ram, dedicated Hardisk for the video files. I always start my HV20 first, then you hear the windows "device found". In the HV20 menu's, PLAY/OUT SETUP1 menu, try to set the PLAYBACK STD to HDV not "automatic". It helped me. |

I'll assume you're using the latest software? Try Andy's suggestions and if the problem continues, open a support ticket at the CineForm support site.
