Cineform fails to convert .mp4 to .avi
I've had a problem with Aspect HD since day one (wasn't fixed in this most recent update, either) where Aspect fails to convert .mp4 files into .avi files. I'm guessing I'm one of the few with this problem, otherwise I'm sure it would have been addressed by the good folks over at Cineform already. I've had a ticket open about this for well over a month now with no resultions, so I'm hoping that maybe some light can be shed by some of y'all over here.
When I attempt to convert any .mp4 file to an .avi file, I get the following error messages: Error: m_graph->ConnectDirect(outputPin, inputPin, 0) (0x80040207 - The owner SID on a per-user subscription doesn't exist) in (DirectShowGraph.cpp at 350) and Error: ConnectPin(mp4splitter, VideoDecoder) (-x80040207 - The owner SID on a per-user subscription doesn't exist) in (ConvertGraph.cpp at 2391). Any ideas on what could be causing that error? It almost sounds like I don't have the right kind of license, but I purchased the full version of Cineform Aspect HD and the documentation says it will do these conversions, so I don't imagine that is the problem... Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

The last corrospondence on this was Wednesday, we trying to guess what the issue is. Posted here on an active ticket will slow you down, as I was activative looking at you case with Jake, now I'm have to post here on it.
MP4 are supported from the Sony EX1/EX3 and the few MP4 producing AVCHD, not MP4 is general which can contain nearly everything (we support MPEG2 and camera H264 streams in MP4.) Tell support (not here) what MP4 source you are trying to convert, and if is from a camera we are yet to support, please send support a sample clip.

Yes, the Canon 5D Mk uses I-frame H264 so it does work now.

I've sent the info on to support via yousendit.com.
David, i hope you don't think I was trying to circumvent your support system by coming here--I always try to open a ticket with a product developer before I go to the general community with a problem. However, it had been over a week with no reply and I'm on a very time-sensitive project right now and I was hoping it would be something simple--a stupid error I had made--that someone here could recognize and help me with so that I could get this project completed. I do always appreciate the help of the product developers and overall I'm very pleased with your support system--it is generally much quicker to respond than most I've dealt with in the past. |
