Vista x64 Media Player playback
I have Neo HD. I have upgraded to Vista x64 on a quad core pc. All is well except my playback of cineform files is really bad in media player 11. I have checked and the cineform codec is registered.
I convert my 1080i files to 720p files using HDLink. When I playback in WMediaPlayer, it get about 2-3 frames per second playback rate. I have tried both high quality and fast quality. Media player does not expand 1440x1080 files. Also, I convert my 1080i files to 720p files using HDLink. When I playback in WMediaPlayer, it get about 2-3 frames per second playback rate. Anyone else seeing this? |

Windows Media Player 11 is broken for CineForm files under Vista, any other player work fine so it is a Microsoft bug. We recommend using Media Player Classic (Free-Codecs.com :: Download Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1 : Media Player Classic is an enhanced version of Media Player 6.4) which is much better, even when WMP11 works.

Thanks for the information and the fast reply. I knew Vista has some issues, just not this one.
