Will HD Media Player WDAVN00 play Cineform AVI files
Sorry to re-post. Well... sort of. This question is buried at the bottom of my "Don't have blu-ray post. So I thought I would just make a new topic.
Here goes. This is a long shot. Do you think the WDAVN00 media player would playback Cineform AVI files? My guess is that it would not recognize them. WD TV HD Media Player ( WDAVN00 ) Thanks

No ... it won't have the necessary decoder. (Also, it's a USB connection, which would probably be a limiting factor, at least for high-bitrate CFHD avis).
That said, I have a TviX which is the same idea, just with an internal drive. I convert my CFHD avis to mt2 or wmv and it plays those great! I love it! |

I purchased a WDAVN00 today and just tried it out. WOW... I love it. I kinda suspected that the Cineform AVI's were a dream. But... It played all my other files great. I really like it.
Thanks for the response.

Do you know if it will play ISO files? I have taken my home movies, made into DVD's,
and rather than burn media, have made them all into iso outputs from encore. This allows me to burn media later if I want. I use a player on my computer to play these iso DVD's, but I would like to get the computer out of the loop to hook up to my TV. Dave |

I'm not sure about the ISO files. My guess is no. I'll look for an ISO file and give it a try.
