Cool! Multi boot worked! (good, because we are in the middle of a project ... ) Choice of normal or /3GB startup.
And presently rendering is screaming along. Seems to not only not be crashing, but faster render too. Much faster. Not smiling yet. I'll do a few tests first. Thanks for the help, I'll post again if I find anything interesting.
