Mac Workflow Vague...
It's a little vague on the cineform website as to how it works on FCP 6. So I was curious if anybody has done this:With Neo HDV capture/transfer footage on a PC in a .MOV Quicktime wrapper. Install the trial codec on the mac (the decoder doesn't expire). Edit the footage and then do an export to ProRes 422 without a watermark? Or is the watermark constant even while decoding?
I'd like to use the cineform product, but I'm not paying $600. I don't need 10-bit encoding. $250 is in my price range... $600 isn't. Seems a little steep. Not sure if the Neo HDV would be worth my time |

The workflow you described will work just fine. The watermark will only appear if you're encoding into the CineForm codec. You said you're exporting to ProRes, so there will be no watermark.
