NAS with RAID 0+1
Need input from anyone here using a NAS with RAID 0+1 implimented:
We need the 0 speed, but we also need the 1 security for a 3-workstation, longterm, GbE, Cineformed, CS3-edited, projects environment. Whew! that's a mouthful! Not only do we share our HD video over the network, but we need our FX, music and clips online. (we do often download onto local RAIDs for editing) The final projects are backed up to duplicate HDD's for longterm storage, so much of the data is off-loaded. Everything runs through a Cisco SLM2008 switch and all workstations are GbE. Suggestions as to NAS's or build-your-own setups? |
