The Sony Picture Motion Browser software does not play well with the other software we need for converting & editing in CF.
Some solutions I have used: 1) Absolutely remove the Sony software from the editing system 2) Install the Sony software on a laptop or other non editing system & use it to capture the clips + metadata to an external drive. When finished downloading plug the external drive into your editing system. HDLink will convert to CF, preserving the Sony clip names, & send the CFHD.avi to your media drive. OR: 3) Plug the Duo cards directly into your editing system (card reader, etc.). A variety of players will play the clips directly from the cards for preview. HDLink will convert the AVCHD files to CF directly from the cards, but you will lose the Sony metadata & clip naming ( you will only get 0001.avi, 0002.avi, etc.). Once you get this organized, it is bulletproof and fairly quick- very quick if you don't need the metadata.
