Getting 1080p on BD - frame rate correction

Looking at 1080p support for official BD spec. The only frame rate it supports is 23.976 or 24fps All other support of 1080 is interlaced.

So it is worth applying this speed change during Cineform ingest stage if that is my intended output. Will it improve rendering time, as I assume the speed change needs to be applied at some point to support the BD format?

What frame rate are your source recordings, 30p or 60i?
