PPro 1.5.1 Compatibility with latest Aspect?
I know many have opted to edit with PPro 2.0 and CS3, but I still have my copy of PPro 1.5.1.
I've been editing with Vegas Pro 8 and lately I've been having performance issues on my AMD Dual core desktop with 4GB of RAM that that I cannot seem to resolve and I find this unacceptable with Vegas and have been considering moving back to PPro/Audition for my post work. 99% of my editing is straight cuts and dissolves with some title graphics and light to moderate color correcting (I work as a freelance solo video journalist). I'm moving more to field editing on a laptop and have a Dell Latitude D620 Core2Duo arriving tomorrow with a 4GB RAM upgrade along with it running XP Pro. I shoot with a couple of SONY HC7's and was wondering if Cineform Aspect would meet my needs and whether the latest version is compatible with PPro 1.5.1. I have an external 250GB drive via firewire to edit with in the field. Do I need Aspect if I'm shooting and editing for web delivery or will the built in Cineform codec work for that? I encode to a max 640x360 widescreen FLV from the final AVI render I do with occasional delivery to DVD for the freelance commercial video stuff I shoot. TIA, |

Aspect HD 5.x is still 1.5.1 compatible, but I doubt AHD 6.x will be.
