Cineform Premiere memory settings
Hi ,
With regards to the cineform control panel settings in premiere (Aspect/Prospect) there is a slider to adjust amount of memory for frame buffer (something like that). Can I ask why this defaults around 50% and what penalty I might have for using it at 100%? Running Geforce 9800GTX 512Mb FYI. Thank you |

This buffer uses system RAM not GPU memory. It sets however many frame to play head. Useful for complex sequences to have a larger buffer, but generally playing 20-30 frames ahead works well (the default.)

Ok I understand. So if I set to 100% it would make scrubbing less responsive due to buffering, or nothing to do with HDD access....?

Only playback uses buffering, not scrubbing.
