NeoHDV to Prospect2K and back again?
I'm currently running Neo HDV in conjunction with Vegas.
I'm about to do a one-off 2K edit. The machine already has Premiere CS3 installed. The producer is paying for a 3 month license on Prospect. Now, I know I'll have to uninstall Neo before installing Prospect. But does uninstalling equal deactivation, or do I have to go through some process in that regard? Also, once finished with Prospect, I'll need to reinstall Neo. Can anyone tell me if my current Neo activation key will still be valid, or will I have to re-apply for another one? And finally, while Prospect is installed, will that mean I have to put on hold any projects I had going using Neo? Thanks for any advice anyone can give. Cheers. |

There are no issues, troubles will only start when you assume that there will be. Basically uninstall NEO HDV is a good idea only to keep your start menu clean, but do not de-activate, if you forget to uninstall that is not an issue either (just leave it.) All your old projects will continue function, with a few bonus 2K features (4:4:4:(4) and greater then 1440 res. support.) P2K is super set of NEO HDV, you don't lose anything. You have have multiple licenses on one system without any issues. Our developer and test PCs often have 4-5 different CineForm licenses at the same time -- I have never once deactivated.
