Missing or Blank Bottom Line
The following may not be minimal but it demonstrates the problem: the bottom line of the result is black, regardless of the expected image. Does anyone else get this problem?
a) Open a fresh Vegas Project set to 720x576 LowerFieldFirst, 0 degrees, 25 fps, 8-bit, Good, Gaussian, Interpolate Fields. b) Go to Media Generators > Noise Texture. Select "Charcoal Scribbles" (say, as it has detail). Drag it to make Track 1. The Media Generator inherits size from project properties (720x576). c) Change the Project properties to 320x240, Progressive, Square (other settings remain unchanged). d) Naturally the media aspect ratio no longer matches that of the project, hence not all of the Preview screen is filled by the image. e) Fix it by going into Vegas's Pan/Crop and selecting "Match Output Aspect". Now the whole of the Preview screen is filled by (part of) the generated media image f) File > Render As: AVI, Cineform with Vegas render properties as Frame size = project settings, progressive, square, Cineform HD Codec V3.5.7, "Configure...": Medium HD, progressive. g) Drag the rendered file to new track 2, aligned in time under the existing event in Track 1. Set Track 1 composite mode to "Difference". All lines are black except for the bottom one, since it does not match the original. The missing line in the Cineform render can be seen not only when imported back into Sony Vegas but also in VirtualDub and AviSynth. |
