Processor for capturing to prospect hd through bm-decklink
Hello, I have a question for the guys at cineform. I have just purchased a BM-decklink card and am about to upgrade my computer with a new motherboard and processor and I have a question. I am choosing between two sollutions either a motherboard coupled with the intel 2,4ghz quad processor or a athlon 6400+(3,2ghz) dual core processor.
I think that for all purposes during editing and after effects that the intel processor would be more effective and faster but what i am worried about is high quality capture. I read a test where the guys at cineform captured to the intensity card and tehere used a intel 2,66ghz processor and that was almost a minimum. Som my question is about the prospect hd codec. Is the quad 2,4ghz fast enough to capture to prospect hd in 1920x1080(does prospect use all four cores so the lower speed is enough). |

Intel Quad will have plenty of speed for a quality capture.
