Convert Cineform to Divx possible?
Captured to Cineform 2k.
Trying to export directly from After Effects CS3 8.02 -> Divx makes AE crash. Exporting to Cineform from AE and the try and convert the .AVI-file with Divx Converter: Divx says "Invalid Video Stream" How can I best convert/export a Cineform project to Divx? Thanks! /Jocke |

You could try exporting the AE project to a cineform avi file, and then convert that to divx with whatever you have handy - Premiere, Virtualdub, etc.

I've tried that:
"Exporting to Cineform from AE and the try and convert the .AVI-file with Divx Converter: Divx says "Invalid Video Stream"" I haven't tried taking the AVI into Premiere, but i seriously doubt it helps since AE crashes when trying just that and that Divx Converter doesn't recognize the stream. Other ideas? /Jocke |

If your plain CHD avi files are crashing other applications, I would suggest deinstalling/reinstalling Prospect before you proceed further. (Unless there's some sort of 10-bit vs 8-bit issue going on...?)

It is obvious that the most recent builds of Prospect are having crashing problems with third applications and the avi CF files.
I am experiencing that issue with the TMPGENC software too. My work around so far is converting with HD link the avi file to mov. Then your file should work. |

Jose / Iam workink with Prospect 3.2.1 build 145.
I prefer working with the secondlast updates on all my software, just in case there's a glitch in the latest version. Otherwise i will check on the forum feedback of latest update loaders before installing the latest build. |

There you go.
I was an Aspect Hd user at that time so I don't have a back up of that version. |

I've tried converting CF Avi -> Mov and then convert that, same issues.
I'll give TMPG a go and post the results. Thanks! /Jocke |

What's the latest on this?
I also stumbled with Cineform to DivX conversion, Divx Converte gives "Invalid Video Stream" error and cannot proceed. How to fix this? |

Actually, never mind - TMPGEnc 4 Express does wonderful DivX video encoding out of Cineform files.
