Cineform hardware card?
I´ve heard somewhere, (maybe here I cant remebe where) about Cineform working on a hardware acceleration card for the codec.
It will be very interesting if, David or someone of cineform could talk about this solution. Is there any idea of when this would be available? |

While we have made no announcements, and there is very little need for an accelerater board, after all standard HD cameras can be captured using today's stock sub-$1000 PC; we are moving compress into hardware to support the mobile capture market. There is a possible spin off market of very high resolution and/or high frame rate capture market, where the PC alone is not fast enough. Think 4k at 60p or 1080p at 250fps using a small PC and a PCI-e card. Not saying anything, really.
