Neo HDV avi crashing AE CS3
I'm trying the trial of Neo HDV to see if I want to upgrade from ConnectHD. But now After Effects CS3 crashes everytime I bring in CFHD .avi footage. I've tried a transcode to .mov and that works fine.
Unfortunately AE CS3 gives no error, just disappears. I've uninstalled ConnectHD, installed Neo HDV, reinstalled and patched After Effects, reinstalled Neo again, can't think of any other combinations. Any suggestions? As an aside, I can't get Color Finesse to work with Cineform footage in AE CS3 either, it crashes - anyone any luck? Cheers Simon |

What to you mean when you say "Patched After Effects"? Please file a trouble ticket with support at cineform.com/support.

I mean downloaded all latest updates from Adobe. I've filed a ticket, I'm just aware that you guys are in a different time zone and so wondered if anyone in my timezone had an idea!

Just to update:
It seems the Adobe software is fussy about where the 'Common' directory is and the Cineform plugin installed in the correct one, but the Adobe software was looking in the wrong place! (I have programs on multiple disks). So now it works - thanks to Jake for pointing me the right way. Color Finesse - Not Cineform at all, but NVidia drivers conflicting with quicktime!!
