Does My Computer Need To Be Online?
Okay, I'm planning to purchase NeoHDV to install on my current edit machine, but I'm planning on getting a new system within the next few months.
I understand about having to deactivate then reactivate Neo when I put it on the new machine, but what I'm not clear on is whether the machine that has Neo needs to be able to connect to the internet for activation. My edit system is an isolated system, not hooked up to the net, and I'd rather keep it that way if possible. Anyone have an idea about this? Thanks Pat |

My recollection is that you have to actually be on line because the registration process involves sending information unique to your machine, to generate the activation code. You may have to otherwise contact Cineform to accomplish what you want to do.

No need to be online with the actual PC.
