It is always the difference in current retail price. So only a $500 upgrade now, and P2K have the sweetest features as we develop it first, then everything gets features through trickly-down from it.

Can I ask a sub question, which I'm in the dark about... On the website it says:

I think, though don't quote me on this, as I am a new customer of Cineform, that Prospect HD-Edit and Prospect HD-Ingest were old naming conventions for what is now Prospect HD. As in, these were old versions, and are now the equivalent of Prospect 2K.
Don't hold me to it, but that's how I read it when I purchased. :) Carl |

No need to update to Prospect 2K unless you want those additional features. Those old upgrade dates should be removed from the website, as there are not relevant to new customers.

How about your older customers? Do we get anything? Its hardly been a year since I purchased P2K for $2500 and now I feel a little foolish. Perhaps, I should have waited a bit longer. Or perhaps Cineform will give us a free upgrade too :)

We sometimes bump up older customers to new licenses, nothing to bump you to yet. I would certainly hope you have got plenty of value out on you product in the meantime. Pricing needed to change to reflect the market, as 2K was much rarer a year ago.
