AJA cards on the MAC?
Hi David and David,
Have there been any developments to support HD output through AJA or Blackmagic cards within Final Cut 6? -Geoff |

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify - Are you able to get real-time playback of your Cineform Quicktime files through your Kona card in a Final Cut Pro 6? -Geoff |

I didn't realize this was in the Cineform forum (got here via rss feed). That's my bad - I don't use Cineform, sorry. I'm unaware of AJA hardware support for Cineform codec(s).

We don't control the HDSDI support, FCP does, so it should work fine open 10-bit playback on a Mac is real-time. While editing is fast, the play out may not be yet, we stilll have many optimization to make the Mac decoder as fast as the PC.
