Cineform rending issue with Boris Continuum 5
Since installing Boris Continuum 5, PPCS3 seems to crash when rendering the timeline. I am using Cineform Aspect HD. My quick question is - when importing cineform avi files into Premier pro CS3 timeline, is it still necessary to render the files (in premier), before to exporting to a cineform AVI?
The red line indicates they need rendering but I originally thought the codec made this step redundant if outputting direct to cineform avi. I am finding premier crashes a lot if I render the files on the timeline like this, I am using some fairly intensive plugins (boris continuum). I don't think the crash is being cause by my PC. PC specs: Quad Core (intel), WinXP Base O/S 2 GB DDR2 RAM C:\ drive striped raid 0 (2 hard discs) D:\ drive striped raid 0 (2 hard discs) - Used for video editing and pagefile. I tried deleting all temp conformed files and recreating them and also defragged the disc but it still crashes, I can get by if I only render a little bit at a time. CPU hovers at 50% pagefile is less than 50% in use and phsical ram has 800 MB free. Any ideas what might be causing the crash - cineform and boris perhaps? |
