got that xl1s from the brooklynite!
just finished putting my xl1s together, thumbed through the manual and am now impatiently waiting for the battery to charge! the seller was an electronics dealer. i inspected everything and was the first-time registrant of the camera. so far, everything seems kosher. will be participating a lot more on this forum!
about to place an order at ZGC for batteries. if i can get up the nerve to spend even more money this week, i might plunk down some change for a new lens. (on a side note, b&h is a great place, but ZGC's price on the BP-945 is better, and shipping isn't gouged. also, being a new yorker, i save on the tax by buying from ZGC.) |

ZGC is fabulous! Ask for Christine! She'll work with you on price.

Ah sweet Christine. I bought my batteries form ZGC too.
If given a second chance, I'd buy a good Anton Bauer power system instead, my Canon batteries don't seem to last as long as advertised (and yes, that's with the camera in 'low power' mode as well. But for the budget-minded, it would cost a lot more than a few Canon batteries :) I've heard Optex makes a similar battery, but lasts longer.

Those Lenmar batteries rock. Anton is way expensive.
