Lens filter manufacturers
I just bought an XL1S and want to make sure that I don't hurt the image quality possible with this camera by adding optically inferior filters. What manufacturers make the best filters? And in case money becomes an object, what manufacturers make very good, but perhaps not the best, filters?
Thanks for the help. PS. I am new to the forum (and to the XL1S), but hope I can learn enough to contribute someday!

Some of the best:
Heliopan B&W Good quality for a lower price: Tiffen Hoya I'm sure people will chip in lots more. |

Looks like I get to second Dylan again. That's generally my order too. I also like the camera manufacture filters when you can find them. Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, Contax (Ziess) are all excellent filters. Cokin makes good filters, too, but again, are hard to find.
