Removing On Screen Display
I'm going to use my XL1 today as a playback and need to remove the on screen display.
Using the remote I'm able to remove the timecode and other readings on the upper right of the display - pressing "on screen" on the remote. However, when I remove the display on the upper right, a date display appears on the lower left corner. In my case since I haven't set the time/date, it's just some dashes & commas. How do I remove this display?

Use the "data code" button on your remote (it's next to the "on screen" button).
See page 54 of your XL1 owner's manual. |

My bad...I realized when I hooked it up to a monitor that the display information on the upper right doesn't appear on the screen, so just as long as the display on the lower left is off (via the remote), it works.....
