Generic Batteries - User Reviews?
Has anyone tried any of the generic batteries, i.e. the 6hr battery all over eBay?

Howdy from Texas,
I have one Lenmar LIC941, which is a generic clone of the Canon BP941. The Canon BP941 has 4050mAh of power while the Lenmar LIC941 has 5550mAh of power. I like the Lenmar a lot... it consistently outlasts its older Canon equivalent. Don't buy 'em off Ebay; instead, get 'em from my sponsor, Pro-Tape, see the Sponsors page at www.dvinfo.net -- hope this helps, |

Get an inverter too.
I got an inverter (300watt) at Wally World for about $40. I use it charge batteries with the Canon charger while one the road. Its a lot cheaper than the 12 volt charge Canon sells. It also works well with flourescent lights too (I use a garden tractor battery for that).

I have used a Bescor battery that Elite Video sells (fairly inexpensive). It uses the AC adapter plate that comes with the camera. I have done a 3 hour semi-continous shoot with no problem
