where to buy in the UK?

I am moving back to the UK in March 2003 and I currently own an xl1s (NTSC) and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good dealer for purchasing either a PAL body or a complete package
Sometimes it looks as though the regular package costs about the same as an individual body!! Whats up with that?
Any info would be much appreciated.

I were lookinbg around for quite some time before I bought my XL1s - obviously wanting a good price as well as a good dealer, and I can recommend Sunrise Electronics on Tottenham Court Road (where else?) in London.

As you said, there only seems to be the option of buying it as the XL1s kit, but the differance in price would be negletable anyway. I got it for £2.350 and an extra battery after some minor haggling.

You can find them on http://www.sunrise-online.co.uk/, but it's cheaper if you go to the store. Speak to Adam and I'm sure he'll sort something out for you.

Just saw they actually now sell it online for £2.299... I take back my recommendation! ;)))

Try Optex. They seem to know what they are talking about, and have good relationships with Canon.

Hope this helps,
