zr-1000 + manfretto
anyone using the zoom remote contrioller and mafretto legs?
i don't understand why the clip is so small, anyone have creative ways to make this work? errr i meant ducktape free... also the cord is pretty short and extensions? |

I use the ZR-1000 with a 501 head. The standard screws just reach to alow connection to the handle, with not much to spare. You could visit a hardware store and look for longer mounting bolts (one would probably be enough). Take an existingt bolt with you to be sure youget a good match. Al;ternatvly get some sheet metal and forma bracket that is a bit longer.
The LANC cord dies reach for normal handle poitioning, at least with the Bogen heads I've used. The nice thing is ther is not exces cord dangling around snagging things. You would need a LANC extension cord with 2.5mm sub-mini stereo phone jack/plug. Not sure who makes them. |

VariZoom and Studio 1 make LANC extension cables. You could always cobble your own out of Radio Shack components.
