Matte box - are 2 filters enough??
I just placed an order for a Cavision Matte box.
But suddenly I got a little worried that the two filters (4 x 4) that this box can handle (one fixed and one that can rotate) is not enough. I have done some reserach and it looks like the modest priced matte boxes only take two filters whereas the more expensive boxes take as many as three. Does anyone think it will become a problem with only 2 filters?? Tom

I've never needed nor wanted more than two.

What camera will you be using it with?
Two filter slots is enough for most anything really. I never use more than two, although sometimes I might use the built-in ND of the 16X Manual Servo lens in tandem with an UltraPol and a Black Diffusion FX, Pro Mist or Soft filter. - don

Mmm... I've seen expensive models with only two as well.
If people really needed three, they'd probably all have three regardless of price. |
