strange doohickey in XL1s package
just got an xls1 and there is a rectangular plug that has vid, L/R female RCA plugs on one end and flat pins on the other. what the heck is that for? thanks and sorry if this has been asked a million+ times already!?

Is the camera PAL? It could be a SCART connector. If you search SCART here you'll probably find some pictures.

It is a SCART plug indeed. Most PAL tv's and vcr's have this
connector.

thanks guys, of course, that's it. even though i live in a PAL country, everything here is now mutlisync and those plugs dont exist anymore - thank buddha! cheers,
