XL1S preset menu locked!!!
anyone had any probems with the presets on the XL1S? i've selected a preset and now cannot deselect presets. in the manual it shows the menu navigation to be "preset off-preset 1-preset 2-.." and so on, but i cannot get the "preset off" option up. what am i doing wrong or what is wrong with my XL1S and what can i do about it?

Hi Saul,
When you slide open the red "door" on the side and press the custom preset button it doesn't show "CP off?" |

Sorry, I'm not very good with terms and descriptions.
If you look at the side of your camera with the dial, you will notice the buttons within the red panel that say "audio monitor" and "light." Underneath that, you'll see the tab in red. Slide that down to reveal all the custom preset buttons. If you then power up your cam and look in the viewfinder while you press the on/off button, it should say "CP off" in your viewfinder. It's like a secret door. I hope that's what you've been looking for! |
