Xl1 lenses and focusing
Hi,
I recently bought an xl1s and am interested in buying either the optex 14x, or the canon 16x manual lense. I am unclear about whether either lense would allow me to remotely control focusing. I know the canon allows remote zoom and iris, and the optex has some remote abilities, but not sure about focus. Thanks. |

No, it's the other way around, really. The Optex Fuji conversion has the best remote capabilities of these lenses... remote controls for it are readily available (zoom from ZGC; focus from VariZoom).
See my "Guide to XL1 Lens Options" on the XL1 Watchdog in the Articles Menu. it's all explained right there. Hope this helps, |
