Lighting Gloves

HI, I'm trying desperately to find quality lighting gloves for my Lowel Light Kit. So far I have only found 1 manuf. which sells them and it's a special order? Anyone know where I might have a better selection?

By "lighting gloves" you mean gloves to handle hot light fixtures with? If so, stop looking for gloves specifically labelled as such.

Just go to your local hardware store and pick up a pair of plain ol' work gloves with leather fingers and palms.

You can also find various grip stuff at Markertek.com but, really, don't be a chump by buying "lighting gloves". That's much worse than buying a watch from a NY street vendor.

Some welding supply companies carry really heavy duty gloves, if you need something that thick.

You can probably use decent gloves purchased from someplace like Costco. I generally don't use gloves with the Lowell lights, tho I don't handle them much once they get hot. If I have to adjust the barn doors I'll just wad up a piece of paper towel and grab a corner.

Cotton gloves should work as well as leather. But the leather will probably last longer.

If these gloves ever get wet, then get goatskin or deerskin. Costco's got those, too.
