USA XL1 Owners Club Info
Just confirmed that the cost of an annual maintenance for USA XL1 Owners Club members is still $95 (plus shipping and sales tax). This does not include any repair costs.
They do confirm costs by e-mail, but will proced if you give them an advance payment (e.g., credit card number) and authorization to the required level. Target turn around time is 3 work days. This good deal is on one service per year. FWIW: Repair work on the XL1 (and GL1!) is done in the professional camera/video section (ast least at the Jamesburg facility). |

Will they send you a box to safely ship the XL1 to them in? Or are we now expected to pack it ourselves?

I think you have to ask for a box. Not sure if there is a charge for it whennot under warranty. I used a box I had (the original XL1 shipping containers) - saved time otherwise spent waiting for a box to come.

Call the club and they'll send you to cutomer service, take your info, and yo'll get a box with lables and an RA or RM number( which must appear on outside of box). I called on a tuesday and rec'd the box on wednesday, sent it out on thursday, $6.95 plus $1.00 per $1000.00 insurance - got it back the following thursday. Bruce |
