Cavision .6X Wide Angle Adapter
I started a thread asking about the Century Optics .6X wide angle adapter, then found another - more affordable, wide angle adapter from Cavision out of Canada. Thanks to everyone who responded about the Century Optics.
Now, has anyone had experience with the Cavision .6X wide angle adapter? I know it's fixed focal, but that's ok for me. I just need the least expensive wide angle adapter to use with my stock 16X XL1s lens zoomed all the way back to get the widest shot. Thanks, Ron |

Cavision WA
Hi !
I just got a BWA06x72 from Cavision. It's a brand new lens introduced at the NAB. It's like the PWA06x72 manufactured exclusively for the XL-1's 1/3" CCDs but it uses the broadcast quality glasses instead of the industrial lenses of the PWA. I think the Cavision WA is pretty good quality for this price, allthough I don't know the century optics nor the optex ones. For 199 $ (PWA06x72) you get good quality lenses even sharp at the edges without barrel distortion in a lether pouch. (I yet don't know the price for the broadcast quality BWA06x72 - sorry) If someone is interested, i could send a short report with some pictures to the watchdog (if this is o.k. for chris). greetings from Hamburg, Germany Sebastian |
