wider angle
Is it possible to attach the century optics .6 wide angle adapter on the 3x wide angle lens to get an even wider angle or am I just dreaming? And if dreams come true would focus be sacrificed?

You can do it but as I recall you'll get some barrel distortion and vignetting around the edges.
How wide do you want to get? |

I put a Kenko wide adaptor on my still camera that already had a wide lens. Just to see what would happen. It had a blurred effect around the frame with the center in focus. It was a cool effect. Great for photographs.
Probably not something you'd do all the time, but might be great for a high concept video or music video. Experiment and have fun!

Hi,
Century has 2 adapters that are made to fit the Canon 3x wide angle. they are listed in their ProDV section of accessories. One is the .6X and the other is a special fisheye adapter. Jeff |
