That's excellent. I know my Azden isn't the greatest or even a great Mic. but it does what i need it to do for now. Though i am hoping to upgrade to a nicer mic in the next 6 months. That's a moot point though.

So using the "Mic Att" setting is almost as good as using the "Line In" with a preamp? With just a slightley higher noise floor?

Any idea why the MA-100/200 clips the noise above the -12 dBV? And is tere anyway to bypass that? (Not that i am going to go tape a spports arena or anything, but if i find that sounds on the set are not being recorded and it seems this is the reason, i'd like to find a way around it.)
