Well, not that new. Just new to DV.
I'm willing to bet that your explanation may have been the case Nathan because when we went out and filmed some night shots over this past weekend everything came out crystal clear and in focus for the most part. I'm also a little suspicious of the possibility that some condensation had formed between the lens and the camera housing and that was messing with things a bit. I had to take about 20 minutes to let the tape housing air out with condensation errors when I first went from the air conditioned car to an 85 degree evening with 75% humidity. I took more care and didn't run the air conditioner in the car prior to this weekend's filming and I didn't run into any condensation problems. The focus was fine all night long. Maybe it was a fluke? Who knows.
