Thanks for the posts guys.
I am here right now with my audio guy and we are sorting through this stuff. He is using a sound devices 442 sending line level. I have the XL-H1 set to line level input with all attenuators off and in manual mode. I turn the dial up and once it reaches about -22 it wont go any higher, even though the nob is at about 3/4. If I turn the nob higher, it just sticks at about -22. All 3 of my XL-H1s are doing the same thing, so no broken camera here. Also, when switched to auto line mode, it still sticks at -22 According to the SD442 manual, line output is "+4dbu nominal" |

This is using XLR straight out of the SD and straight into the H1's
XLR in back? If so, I wonder if the Sound Devices is pin 3 hot or somehow the XLR cable is not wired correctly. Have you tried another cable? WHat happens when the H1 is set to mic level?
