preset names | EVF
Is it possible to view the preset names when you want to load one? Having 6 on the camera, I can never remember which preset I wanted. Is this possible?
Also having used a custom key (Flip evf) I cant get the image to flip, any ideas? I need it inverted becasue I am using the m2. |

The option to indicate Custom Presets in the viewfinder by name instead of number is not present in the Canon XL or XH series camcorders. However we made a specific request for it in our Canon XH firmware upgrade wishlist poll that we submitted to Canon's firmware engineers back in April during NAB.
Currently the EVF Flip option in the Custom Keys menu is incompatible with any of the existing 35mm adapters, sorry. |

The option for EVF Flip in the Custom Keys can be confusing since it doesn't work with anything that's available right now. As explained to me by the folks at Canon USA, it's included for compatibility with "future" adapters, but they wouldn't get any more specific than that. Time will tell,

Did you get any sense that they might be thinking of getting into the adapter game? Or do you think they were referencing 3rd party products? Imagine a new canon 35mm adapter that works with EOS lenses via an adapter made by canon. Since it could be electronically compatible you might be able to control all the lens features too...
Ah......pipe dreams. Peace. |

Hi Marty, I believe they were deferring to an as yet un-named third party company. I doubt that Canon will ever go any farther than the current EF adapter that they've been selling for years (although I'd love to be surprised).
