quality of SD DVD's from XL H1
just wanted to give a quick testimonial as to how beautiful the XL H1 looks on a plasma tv while watching a SD DVD that was created in FCP on an HDV 1080i timeline. The footage is of a bird show at the zoo and it REALLY looks good. The footage was converted using the apple intermediate codec, then brought into DVD Studio Pro. TRULY AN AMAZING CAMERA, and we are anxiously awaiting the AJA i/O HD!

IMHO, it looks far BETTER than the XL2. Please remember that i shot this in the HDV and edited it in the HDV format as well.

I agree. My downrezzed HDV footage looks better on DVD than stuff I shot with my DVX.
