25F Vs 25PsF

Hi Guys,

a broadcaster is casting to deliver either in 50i or 25PsF. What do you suggest? Can I shoot using the 25F mode?

Thanks a lot
Have a good day

Christian

Yes. Shoot in HDV 25F, edit in the codec of your choice at 25P, deliver in HDCAM 25PsF.

Is another option to shoot in 50i and pull-down in post?

- 50i, what pulldown?

- Chris answered the more difficult question for 25PsF. For 50i it should be even more simple, edit in the codec of your choice at 50i, deliver in HDCAM 50i.

Sorry, excuse my ignorance. I thought it was possible to convert 50i to 25P in post?

Sure it's possible, but why bother with the extra work and potentially reduced quality?
