Can't see video during capture (PPRO 2)
I am not sure if I`m missing an option on the H1 or premiere, but when I capture video from a tape I can;t see or hear what I`m capturing. Yet if I use the Panosonic DV953 its fine. Is it because its HDV? It defeats the point of capturing to not see what your capturing :\

I'm on PP2 as well, and thats how it goes when i capture, the capture screen in PP2 goes black, i just use my camera which is only a couple feet away to monitor whats going on, everything has always worked just fine though, no problems with the footage that gets captured.

That is the way it is with PPro 2.0. I'm guessing Adobe felt that it would use to much resources during the capture process. If I recall, Vegas 7 does manage to do it. HDVSplit, a free capture application, also can monitor on the computer screen, but I find that when I have that engaged, there will be an occasional dropped frame or totally dropped capture. Adobe just eliminated that by not doing a preview, since you can watch it on your camera's screen.
